ACCESSORIES REPORT: Put a Ring on It

Accessories Report

The South has been blessed with a mid-winter heat wave. With temperatures in the mid-70s, Fashionistas all around town are breaking out their summer wardrobes. Although throwing on a sundress may be quick and easy, adding the perfect accessories can make or break your ensemble.

I spotted this Fashionista drifting through City Market where everyone is always walking to the shops around town. I noticed that she mixed her hippie-inspired style with a preppy sundress. I was very drawn to her outfit, and had to learn more about her fashion inspirations.

As one of Free People’s frequent shoppers, this Fashionista is inspired by the ‘70s and dressing like a free spirit. Her dress is the perfect combination of girly, yet bohemian. The top ruffle detailing gives this basic maxi shape an edge. Her sand dollar necklace is a perfect addition to her outfit (especially since we live so close to the beach). Her tribal print sandals give her look a bohemian feel. But enough about the outfit, let’s talk about the main attraction — her rings. This Fashionista has an obsession with rings. The gold band was a find from her favorite shop in Savannah. Her blue and red beaded ring was a thrift find. I think this ring pulls the entire outfit together because it matches the small detailed print within the dress. Mixing new and old can give the right balance to your outfit.
