When it comes to accessories, it’s the little details that make all the difference. For students rushing to class, a huge statement piece might not be the jewelry of choice. For me, rings are the easiest to throw on every day to instantly glam up a simple outfit.
When I first spotted this Fashionista, it was her chic yet comfortable ensemble that caught my eye. At a closer glance, I noticed her Alexander Wang leather sandals and an array of gold rings that she usually wears to complement any outfit. My absolute favorite was the ring with the hinged joint that wrapped around the entire finger while allowing complete free movement. Too many bold rings on one hand can be overwhelming so this Fashionista paired the subtle statement piece with some feminine, smaller rings to offset the edgy caged ring. These rings add some shine to her neutral color outfit and also contrasts her overall relaxed style with a dash of daring. Besides the hinged ring design, there are many other rising styles in the rings market.
The new midi ring craze is quickly catching on and stores like Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom and ASOS have stocked up on an assortment of these beauties. Midi rings are worn above the knuckle, which might need some getting used to but after wearing them for a day or two, the rings feel as natural as the traditional style. Another recent trend involves an exotic fusion of ring(s) and a bracelet. These handpieces range from minimalist to extremely elaborate with many chains and stones. Since rings are constantly evolving, it is never too late to get in on the current trend
