For those of you Fashionistas who have yet to check the weather or venture outside of your cozy dorm rooms, beware, as it’s unpleasantly cold! Although it’s been rather dreary weather, it’s time to break out those adorable puffer jackets.
This Fashionista braved the bitter winter air in a long sleeved Urban Outfitters shirt and scarf, Aztec-inspired jeans from Anthropologie and Steve Madden combat boots. This laid-back look is combined with a Patagonia puffer jacket that helps her battle the frigid air.
Puffer jackets were seen in 2012 runway shows by many designers. They combined chic outfits with a practical accessory. Puffy jackets were seen in all different lengths, materials and patterns. DKNY showed cropped versions with leather mini skirts while Christopher Kane coordinated his patterned pants with a longer length adaptation.
Fashionistas can attempt this trend with finds from Macy’s and Patagonia. Add in some opaque leggings, combat boots and a sweater and be ready to brave a day full of trips to the library, class and the dining hall.
Lastly, follow in this Fashionista’s footsteps and add some simple jewelry to complete the outfit. A cute pair of rings and a gold watch will keep it fun and casual. This Fashionista added a sweet bow ring and a vintage watch to her relaxed ensemble that’s perfect for any day on campus.
The Connecticut winters can be rather cold but it’s definitely not impossible for a Fashionista to keep her outfit stylish even while bundled up.
Spotted: Burberry knows that rainy and dreary days could use a pick me up with these beautiful puffer jackets from 2012.
