It’s always easy to spot the business majors on Misericordia’s campus. For their major classes they are required to dress professionally to prepare the students for the real world. I always love when I get to interact with these students because they know what is and is not professional for the workplace. It’s great to see these outfits rather than sweats and a tee. This soon-to-be business woman is in one of my communications classes and I always notice how put together she looks. Her outfits still match her youthfulness but she always looks interview ready, which is a great way to prepare for after college life.
She sported black on black for a sleek look and added the gray cardigan to stay warm in the freezing classrooms. My favorite part of her outfit were her drop earrings. The earrings peaked out from behind her perfectly curled hair to add a bit of color to her black on black ensemble. The neon pink and orange shades popped with her bubbly personality.
For a set of earrings that pop just like this Fashionista’s I suggest starting at BaubleBar. They have such a great selection at very low prices. For a pair very similar to this Fashionista’s try the dramatic Chrystie Cascade pair. The pops of colors resemble this business major’s pair. If you’re looking for a pair with more of a gold tone try the Lyric Earring from Free People. The gold and blue beaded earrings are handmade especially for Free People customers. Another pair that caught my eye were the Linear Bead Cluster Post Earrings from Express. They remind me of something Katniss Everdeen would wear in the Hunger Games – the girl on fire.
Take a few pointers from this business major when trying to add some fun to an office look. Don’t be afraid to add a splash of color even in the professional world.
Spotted: Ana Khouri offers a great collection of drop earrings in her fall 2013 line. Check out the pairs that feature shades of purple – my personal fave!
