Summertime was made for dresses. From long, flowing maxi dresses to short, fun frocks, most girls love to frolic around the city in their favorite styles. There are so many to choose from, it’s hard to resist buying tons of those pretty dresses in the shop windows and filling your closet with them, especially with seasonal sales going on as well. And with the sun shining and flowers blooming everywhere, it’s only natural that a lot of summer wardrobes are bursting with floral prints.
I spotted this Fashionista on a gorgeous day wearing a cute pink and white flower-patterned dress paired with a light blue denim jacket. A great denim jacket is definitely a wardrobe must-have because they go with absolutely everything.
I love how she puts a more casual, urban twist on a more feminine and girly piece. Her thick socks and brown lace-up boots give it a more edgy feel and I think it works really well together. She also adds a dark yellow tote bag, which is both cool and functional—they can carry all of your essentials and they have a classic shape that never really goes out of style.
This Fashionista shows that you don’t have to go overboard with the jewelry to create a great look. I like how she kept it to a minimum, with a small, chain necklace, silver ring and didn’t throw on layers of bangles or necklaces. Overall, her outfit is simple and a fresh look for summer.
Spotted: Carolina Herrera incorporated lots of floral patterns in her resort 2014 collection.
