When I first saw this Fashionista, I couldn’t help but get excited. Not only was it a beautiful day, but I was also able to take her picture by this beautiful creek on my way to class. Such a scenic setting gets me so excited for the warm weather that is coming, and with the warming weather comes the newest spring trends! Unfortunately, it is evident that there are still remains of the last snow fall on the ground, so it’s not quite time for spring yet.
What I love most about this Fashionista is the casual combination of her plaid button-up, vest and rain boots. Vests are a growing trend around campus. Not only are they preppy, but also practical; vests are very ideal for the ever-changing day-to-day weather at the University of Maryland. Not to mention, they look effortless over a plaid shirt.
And what goes better with a black vest than black Hunter rain boots? Rain boots are ideal for walking around campus in what is left of the snow. For a girly look, wear your rain boots with knee-high socks and pair them with a flirty dress or skirt.
This Fashionista really portrays that accessories don’t have to be over the top to impact and outfit. Sometimes, simple accessories say a lot about an outfit. Her aviator sunglasses, rain boots, chunky knit scarf like this one from ASOS and watch really add some excitement to her look.
When you’re feeling like going outside for some fun or to get inspired by the beautiful scenery on your way to class, take note of this Fashionista’s simple accessories that will allow you to take on some adventure!
Spotted: Knit scarves are always all over the runway. Check out these chunky scarves from Céline’s fall 2005 ready-to-wear collection.
