It’s officially August and I can feel the panic starting to set in. Summer is almost over and pretty soon I will be back at school, with loads of homework no doubt. I have to remind myself to enjoy these last few weeks of freedom. With that in mind, I want to soak up the rest of the sun that summer has to offer me, and all of the little joys it brings.
One of those little joys, for me, includes eating fresh fruit, many of which are best during the warm months. My favorites include raspberries, peaches and watermelon. We have to eat and appreciate them while we still can. This same idea can also be applied to our wardrobes. It’s time to show your favorite sandals, summer dresses and flower crowns some love before they get shoved into the back of your closet during fall.
This Fashionista managed to embody both of these ideas through her handbag. This wonderful purse features a colorful harvest print with a tan trim. It even includes peaches, so of course I was drawn to it right away. It’s a perfect bag for summertime. It livens up her outfit and gives it more of a playful feel. Unfortunately, just like the peach, this bag is best during the warmer months. A fruit covered handbag doesn’t exactly mix well with snow.
Luckily, the rest of this Fashionista’s outfit could transition effortlessly into the colder months. Her tan oxfords are great for any season. Oxfords look smart yet stylish with just about anything. They can be dressed up or down, while still being comfortable. I’m obviously a fan of these shoes. Next, she could roll down the hem of her pants, throw on a cardigan and she’s good to go.
Want a bright summery bag like this stylish Fashionista? It’s not too late! Try this floral cross-body bag by kate spade. For something with a little more preservatives, try a pair of oxfords, like these from Cole Haan.
