Philadelphia’s most recent snowstorm was the third snowstorm with six plus inches of snow that we’ve had before the start of February. This occurrence hasn’t happened since 1884. With weather like this, jackets are a must. Jackets are typically seen as a source of warmth as opposed to being trendy or any adjective other than practical. As mentioned in my last post, military inspiration is a reoccurring trend from season to season. Olive green jackets are seen styled many different ways. They can be taken different directions anywhere from vintage to preppy to semi-dressy or to even athletic. Here’s an example of a preppy styling of this jacket. If you like vintage style, try imitating this look from Lookbook.nu. You can dress this jacket up with a sweater, plaid button down and tie like seen in this example or you could take a more athletic route with neon running shoes and a graphic tee. Since this jacket has the ability to be worn many different ways, it is most likely that one would fit right into your wardrobe if you don’t already have one.
If you’re a guy and looking for an olive military inspired jacket, here’s one from Superdry. Another option is this jacket by Gant Rugger. Olive military inspired jackets have been seen on both Fashionistos and Fashionistas. If you’re a girl and looking for an olive green military jacket, try this one from H&M. Another option is this military jacket in a bolder green by BB Dakota.
Spotted: Olive colored military inspired jackets have been seen on the runways before. Check out this military inspired bomber jacket in a collection from Louis Vuitton. Wherever you take your inspiration from, an olive colored jacket is sure to keep you feeling warm and looking trendy!
