Making sure your nails always look healthy and polished is no easy task. As someone who paints their nails on a Friday night only to have them chipped by Sunday, I know that it’s not an easy feat. Although the coats of nail polish don’t last for long, my nails still appreciate their time with the visiting shades of reds, pinks and blues. So whether you manage to keep it on for two days or two weeks, a colorful set of nails is a great accessory to wear with any ensemble.
Now that we are in the spring and soon to be summer season, pick a nail polish color that is bright and reflects the sunny weather. You can do this with a bold neon fuchsia or a bright blue like this shade from Essie. The great thing about nail polish is that it instantly gives your hands and/or feet a more polished look.
Today’s Fashionista is sporting a warm light orange polish on her fingernails. Although the rest of her look is on the darker side, she used her accessories as a way to add color. The shade of orange she is wearing would go well with a variety of spring colors that you might be wearing this season. Whether it’s a teal maxi dress or a hot pink top and shorts, this light orange will complement other cheerful spring hues perfectly.
If you want to embrace spring colors in other ways besides your clothes, do it with your nails. Just because the weather is beautiful doesn’t mean you’re always in the mood to wear floral skirts and crochet tops. Take some hints from today’s Fashionista and pair a cute black and white patterned dress with a pair of black high-tops. Make sure you incorporate color with some spring inspired nail polish and stack on some simple bracelets. Throw on your favorite go-to hoodie for a casual but stylish look.
