Accessories Report

These days in Florida, the weather has been slightly dreary and chilly. Thus, I’ve been sticking to my cozy sweaters and jeans. But I have to admit that my wardrobe has definitely been losing some color. When I saw this Fashionista, I knew that I had to feature her because her outfit inspired me to bring color back into my wardrobe for fall.

This Fashionista is wearing a simple white T-shirt with a light sweater over it. On the bottom half, she is wearing distressed skinny jeans and brown combat boots with gold rustic studs. She tops it all off a turquoise statement necklace. As we all know, the white T-shirt is an essential in everyone’s wardrobe; it can be dressed down or easily dressed up for a fall date by pairing it with a metallic skirt and a leather jacket. Not only that, but when it gets colder in the winter, the white T-shirt can be worn under long sleeve sweaters and jackets for extra warmth.

On top of the essential white T-shirt, this Fashionista chose to top of her whole look with a turquoise necklace. Even though I would never think of turquoise as being a color for the fall, this Fashionista shows us that color can be experimented with all year round. She makes it work with the contrast of lighter colors in the white T-shirt and sweater. In this case, the turquoise necklace completed the look and became a rich and vibrant color amongst the neutral wardrobe.

I love how this Fashionista decided to wear her distressed jeans and combat boots. They add an edge to the outfit since it would have been a bit dressier if she decided on darker skinny jeans and flats. Ultimately, this Fashionista shows us that fashion is about knowing what works for you and then experimenting with it.
