My love for hats has exceeded its obsession. I am at the point where I have to consider wearing a hat with every possible outfit. I have owned a floppy hat, a bowler hat and countless beanies, caps and boater hats–you name it. The only ones left that I need to invest in are straw hats and turbans! Unlike most of you, fall is coming my way and I’ll probably need to hunt for more winter-warmer beanies. However, that isn’t going to stop me from wearing hats of all kinds.I really mean all kinds, when I say all kinds!
When I spotted this Fashionista, I knew I had to seize the moment to capture a shot of her. This Fashionista sported a hat that has been seen on blogs, but rarely seen on the streets. It was definitely a unique and cheeky hat–with devil ears and all–to add as an accessory. The touch of this quirky hat added to her–already–edgy ensemble a more fun and playful vibe. It ultimately let her cheeky personality shine.
The denim jacket was a perfect ensemble for her girly-grunge look. The grunge girl trend is still hitting the streets, so opting for a denim jacket can make your outfit that much more edgy. Her digital print underneath her denim jacket is, again, an edgy statement. The short-at-the-front, yet long-at-the-back silhouette was very chic. Her satchel bag and pair of wedges were classically feminine. Countless admirable stares were to be foreseen, since this Fashionista topped off her ensemble with a cool hat!
I am surrounded by multiple eccentric and talented peers every day, so I admired her bold choice of wearing a cheeky hat. A great thing about hats is that they can become a statement piece within your outfit, ultimately defining your persona. A floppy hat is bohemian-feminine, a patterned cap is indie-cool, a turban is ethnic-inspired and a straw hat is Parisian chic. How very Madeline! Add character to your outfit and top off your outfit with a last minute hat, like this Fashionista.
Spotted: Where to begin? A variety of hats cultivated the fall 2013 runways from houses such as Chanel, Oscar De La Renta, Acné Studios and Dsquared². Hats perfect for spring break were Rachel Zoe’s bohemian floppy hats. My favorite? Emporio Armani’s boater hats and turbans. So chic!
