ACCESSORIES REPORT: Knuck, Knuck. Who’s There?

Accessories Report

Whether you’re above the line, above the rim or above average, being above something feels good. It yields a sense of distinction and notes that you’ve reached a higher level. This Fashionista proved to be above the crowd with her trendsetting, minimalistic jewelry.

Just like you layer your tops and sweaters, adding layers to your pieces of jewelry is totally acceptable. In fact, it is currently a go-to move to dress up your arms, neck and now, fingers, with layers. This Fashionista’s above the knuckle rings are a great way to dress up your hands. Many celebrities and fashion icons can been seen sporting these types of rings on several fingers, stacking them on top of each other and/or placing them on a finger with a traditionally placed ring.

As chunky statement jewelry has also been hanging around as a huge trend, this Fashionista’s dainty above the knuckle rings were able to balance her beautiful blue statement necklace. One of the greatest things about the above the knuckle rings is that they’re typically small and subtle enough that you can add other pieces of jewelry or accessories to your ensemble without overdoing it. Although the above the knuckle rings might not be in-your-face bold pieces, they are sure to catch the eye because of their nontraditional placement.

This Fashionista was also sporting one of my favorite accessories—nude flats. If you haven’t invested in a pair yet, you are missing out. Nude flats are a great pair of shoes to have around because they go with everything. If you’re running late and don’t have time to deliberate, nude flats can always be the answer.

Put yourself above the rest and get on board with the rising above the knuckle ring trend. It’s a fabulous way to add to your already killer jewelry game or give you something simple and fun to work with.

Spotted: Chanel, of course, knows how to sport above the knuckle rings. Check them out in their fall 2013 couture collection.
