Sneakers have been the go-to shoe since what seems like forever. They have even been spotted strutting down the streets at this college. What makes them unique and adaptable is as they become more worn they look more authentic and cool. To be honest, with such busy schedules, staying comfortable is key. Though we all would like to be able to comfortably (key word) walk in wedges to class it’s just not realistic. Sneakers are easy to walk in and still manage to look fashionable.
When I spotted this Fashionista, I was instantly intrigued by how she managed to look so casually chic. It’s a look that many college girls strive for. The look wasn’t too put together. It had a fun, youthful vibe, but still looked like there was effort involved. The Fashionista didn’t look like she had just rolled out of bed. She paired her Converse sneakers with an olive-green utility jacket which give off a tough, but casual feel. The Fashionista also wore a neutral floral print scarf which added a subtle, but needed, pop of interest. She finished off her outfit with jeans and a leather messenger bag.
Sneakers offer limitless opportunities to any outfit and are sure to become a fixture in your daily wardrobe. For the daily treks to class they can be worn with distressed boyfriend jeans, a varsity jacket and a crop top for an edgy, trendy look. As for a more preppy look, you can pair sneakers with fitted dark-wash cuffed jeans, with an oxford button-down, simple charm necklace. Add a silk headband as the final touch.
Next time you are frantically searching for something to wear Monday morning, reach for a pair of sneakers. Whether they be sequined, quilted, leather or neon they will add an understated effortless to your look.
