ACCESSORIES REPORT: How Low Can You Go

Accessories Report

With the springtime weather finally in our grasp, girls all over campus are pulling out the summertime dresses. Maxi skirts and sundresses are the perfect outfits for this time of year in New Orleans. Tucked all the way in the back of our closets, haven’t we been waiting to pull them out since the beginning of the school year?

When the sun is shining and the winds are spreading, the last thing students want is to be in class. This Fashionista definitely embraces this attitude with her outfit, in a springtime and casual look.

She caught my eye because her outfit caught the mood of the weather, even during the most dreadful time of the year— finals. This Fashionista was wearing a high-low tye-dye maxi dress. It’s comfy for a day of class, while focusing on the beautiful weather that is happening outside those library walls.

Although there a lot of maxis going around for everyone, this outfit really caught my eye because of the blue and white pattern. It worked with her plain flats and sunglasses. Her minimal jewelry was definitely noticeable, but didn’t steal the show.

If you’re looking to replicate this Fashionista’s look, Urban Outfitters has many maxi dress options. Although you may not be in the mood to wear a dress to the library, summer is right around the corner and this is the perfect look for a day outside.

So, Fashionistas, if you’re looking for the perfect summertime purchase, go grab yourself a sundress and flats!

Spotted: In the Saint Laurent spring 2013 runway show, there were many maxi dresses shown in preparation for summer coming around the corner.
