School is over and internships and summer classes are just around the corner, so these next few weeks are optimal relaxation time for many. Finishing finals always brings an air of tranquility for students. Finally, bodies are catching up on some much needed sleep; there is time to hang out with friends, read a good book, even catch up on a favorite TV show.
The last test is taken, the last paper written and the last bag is moved out of the dorm room ready to be sent home. People are starting to leave campus, but some are finding it hard to say goodbye to friends, deciding they aren’t quite ready to leave the social scene of school. The end of the spring semester found many Yalies traveling to the beach. I spotted this Fashionista on her way down to spend a day in the sun. Her stylish cover up was definitely the focal point of her attire; however, she was able to utilize some key pieces to enhance her beachy vibe. Her gold aviator sunglasses are not only functional, protecting her eyes from the sun, but very popular among beach goers. She dotes a boho styled knit backpack as a beach bag, adding a more casual and relaxed look to her otherwise preppy style. She finishes off the perfect beach outfit with a mixture of hemp and metal bracelets. She’s definitely ready to enjoy the beautiful summer day.
Spotted: Boho-chic has been popular since the early 2000s and is still a popular trend today. Check out this bohemian style bag on the runway in Anna Sui’s spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
