Morning classes are generally something FIDM students shy away from. Most college students with a class at 8:30 a.m. get dressed in the simplest, most comfortable outfit. Most just roll out of bed and put on some sweatpants or a hoodie and we’re good to go! So when I arrived to class and saw that someone actually put an effort into their appearance, I decided to share with everyone.
This week’s Fashionista is donning a fuzzy powder blue leopard print sweater over a faux leather skirt. She accessorized her look with a simple silver charm bracelet, black knee socks and purple patent leather boots. The skirt and fuzzy sweater contrasts the combat boots and gives the look a feminine flare. Not only is it stylish, but it’s just warm enough to wear during a California winter.
What I liked most about this outfit was the playful pattern and bright colors. They are a nice change from the dark navy and maroon hues we’ve seen this fall – not to mention a good wake up call for the eyes! Another thing I appreciated was her blend of high and low fashion. Mixing affordable items with high end items has become a trend. Our Fashionista followed the trend by wearing practical pieces like the sweater and Dr. Martens with a Louis Vuitton bag.
Can we talk about how awesome that backpack is? It has the classic LV look but a round, eye-catching shape. I don’t know about you but It’s definitely one accessory I’ll be adding to my Christmas list.
