It’s the beginning of the semester, and everyone is putting their best fashion foot forward on campus. When waking up for an early morning class, however, coordinating accessories can seem like quite the challenge. It’s tempting to press the snooze button, but I am here to tell you that accessorizing has never been easier with this season’s new neutral: metallic. I spotted this Fashionista on her way to grab some much needed early morning coffee before class. I love the way she accented her outfit with gold accessories to help her stand out from the campus crowd.
Ankle boots have been a huge trend this fall and winter, and for good reason. They are comfy and flattering and fit almost every personal style. From preppy to grungy, everyone can find a pair they will love. This Fashionista chose a Vince Camuto pair with gold buckles and studded heels— simple enough to go with every outfit, but while still showing off her personal style. These booties are also great because they follow the ’90s/ punk theme seen on fall/winter 2013 runways. Every college student needs something to carry their books around in, so why not make it an adorable bag? This Fashionista’s Michael Kors tote (similar here) is big enough to carry all of her school essentials and ensures she looks fabulous while doing so.
Often overlooked, jewelry can elevate an outfit from ordinary student to street style star. Coordinating with her booties and tote, this Fashionista choose an oversized watch and delicate rings to complement her outfit. The items are great because they make a statement, but they won’t impede her writing or typing notes and can easily be worn with many outfits and through changing seasons. Her oversized watch, with a sparkling trim, not only looks cute, but it adds a menswear inspired touch to her outfit. Contrasting this are her dainty rings, which can be mixed and matched from day-to-day. Although the weather can be brutal, this Fashionista shows that accessorizing for class can be effortless and chic. With gold booties, bag and jewelry, she looks effortlessly put together and ready to take on a day of class.
