I feel like the weather lately has been a mixed bag. One day, it will be sunny and everyone is exposing some ankle. The next day, it will be snowing with biting winds. It’s officially spring for goodness sake—make up your mind!
This Fashionisto found the perfect way to take on this bipolar weather. His bright flannel is a great contrast with his dark skinny jeans and boots. The oversized scarf is a great way to stay warm when needed, but can also easily be stowed away if and when the sun appears.
But perhaps the best accessory for this vacillating weather is his gloves. The bright blue of his gloves is right on trend. Cobalt blue is favorite color amongst trendsetters and it is the perfect pop of color for an early spring day. The woven texture is thick enough to provide warmth while still being breathable. So that whole balmy hand thing won’t be an issue.
But perhaps the best part of this Fashionisto’s gloves are the open fingers. When the weather is in the 40s, it is time to give your fingertips some sun exposure. The open fingers allow this Fashionisto to enjoy the benefits of the glove while still embracing spring and function. We all know how annoying it can be to send a text, change a song or even simply hold your coffee cup while wearing full-on gloves. This way, the Fashionisto really gets the best of both worlds (or seasons).
So as we slowly wait for spring weather to stay here for good, you can still have fun with accessories. Follow in the footsteps of this Fashionisto and rock some fingerless gloves for a look that is simply “glovely.”
Spotted: One of my favorite Chanel runway shows ever featured a variety of fingerless gloves in a grunge yet glam way.
