This Fashionista is taking advantage of the colder Seattle weather and bundling up in style. It’s not quite warm enough for those winter pieces to go away just yet, but there’s no harm in them sticking around for another month or two. Who would want to cram their new Christmas stocking-stuffer presents in the back of their closet, right after the holidays are over? Fear not, Fashionistas. Those cute printed and knit headbands that you’ve been using to keep your ears cozy and warm during those long winter months are sticking around for spring. In fact, these cute patterned headbands are going to be found in lighter materials, as soon as the temperature starts to go up. This Fashionista manages to rock the winter look with her printed flannel and Aztec-inspired headbands. The best thing about these headbands is if you’re ever having a bad hair day, since we all have them, they are a simple and fashionable way to camouflage a potential hair disaster.

Some of my favorite headbands are super affordable, much like the one this Fashionista is wearing herself. Places like Urban Outfitters and Free People always have both in-season and going-out-of-season accessories that are made for fashion-forward college students, who can’t spend their entire month’s budget.

Spotted: The headband trend is living on for spring. Check out the look sported by many spring runways, including Missoni and Marc Jacobs in their spring resort 2013 collections. Don’t be afraid to go with a bold print and mix it with a colorful or printed top. It will be sure to make you stand out.
