As the former editor-in-chief of STITCH, Northwestern’s fashion magazine, this Fashionista has always been my style icon. She constantly looks put-together due to her impeccable attention to detail. Although I always love all of her accessories, my favorite are her glasses. Glasses with large frames like these are a great accessory to have. You can easily slip them on and instantly look trendy on a daily basis.
Growing up, I was always ashamed of my glasses. Through the years, however, I have come to learn that I can use them as a way to add to my personal style. The glasses with the large frames like this Fashionista’s are on-trend and currently on my wish list. I especially love these Burberry ones. They’re different from a traditional pair of glasses yet still versatile enough to wear every day. If you want something even more unconventional, check out some with tortoiseshell frames like these Stella McCartney ones. Although keeping up with trends is fun, it is always a good idea to experiment with different frames and shades to find a pair that really fits your personality.
Besides her glasses, striking necklaces and adorable bag, this Fashionista’s shoes help to complete her outfit. Pairing converse with a girly piece like a skirt is an unexpected twist, but it always seems to work. With music festival season upon us, try wearing a pair of white high-tops with a floral sundress. These American flag converse would also be a killer addition to a summer wardrobe.
