Despite the teen temperatures we have been fighting these past few days, I was lucky enough to come across this Fashionista on a not so frigid day. I don’t know how much longer I can take these bitter days, especially because the long down coats hide all of the stylish outfits!
This Fashionista does a rugged look with a feminine touch really well. From her bulky Dr. Martens to her military jacket, she takes masculine and chic and turns it into your not so typical edgy look. I personally am a Dr. Martens fan so here’s a maroon pair to shop!
Funny enough, this Fashionista mentioned that her stars and stripe T-shirt was actually a piece she picked up from the men’s section at Urban Outfitters. Shopping in the guy’s section is always a good idea. Oversized tees look great under sweaters with leggings and combat boots. Plus, places like Urban Outfitters have some really interesting graphics that aren’t just for guys. Don’t be afraid to take a peak in the men’s section!
But, this Fashionista isn’t all about the boy talk. Her pinky red lip color adds a girly hint that makes the look pop. Adding subtle color to an outfit through the lips is a stand out way to bring your look up a notch. Lip color is just like any other accessory, don’t just save it for nights out. Some of my favorite Fashionistas are the ones who aren’t afraid to have a little lip color during the day.
The black fuzzy cardigan adds a chic side to this outfit, which tie the military and girly look together perfectly. Not only is this sweater warm, fuzzy is in! I have seen lots of pullovers and cardigans of all different colors and patterns that are fuzzy this season. Here is a similar one to this Fashionista’s at LuLu’s.
I am a big fan of the “boyish” look. I like big and baggy and dark colors. But then again, we are still young ladies and we can’t forget our feminine sides. There’s nothing better than combining the latter, with chic touches like red lips, metallic nails and fuzzy sweaters.
