One of my favorite things about fashion is that it is a way to express oneself. You can sort of tell what kind of personality someone has by looking at their outfit on any given day. For example, this Fashionista’s effortless look perfectly reflects her laid-back personality.
Not only is her outfit in tune with her personality, but each piece of her look also goes together. Her chambray shirt, brown booties and fringe bag create a relaxed, Western theme. My favorite piece of her outfit is her fringe bag because it’s not the sort of thing you see around campus every day. This Steve Madden cross-body bag is similar and also comes in black and white. I also love this fringed fabric bucket bag by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and it’s a great accessory for summer!
Fringe is trending this spring and can be seen on a wide variety of accessories from booties to necklaces. It is also great for concert or festival attire. I’m personally a fan of Minnetonka when it comes to incorporating some Western influence or fringe into your wardrobe. My sister has this pair of boots in brown suede, and she has found a way to pull them off every season. They instantly add flare to any outfit she has on.
Spotted: Four incredible fringe looks in Christian Siriano’s spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection that add an elegant twist to the trend. To see something a little more like what you would wear to a festival, check out the patterned fringe look in Emilio Pucci’s spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
