ACCESSORIES REPORT: Floridian February

Accessories Report

Here in Florida, we like to bypass spring all together and dive head first into summer. While many of you are still suffering in the snow with no end in sight and wondering if you’ll ever be tan again, we are already sipping Diet Cokes poolside. I spotted this Fashionista on a gorgeous, sunny day and her ensemble had me instantly dreaming of no class and summer music festivals.

This Fashionista was positively radiant in her romantic ’90s inspired look. Her delicate, embroidered white tank, distressed denim cut-offs and vintage printed button-up came together flawlessly to create a perfectly laid-back look. Her braided sandals were a perfect addition to the look. Her cool printed button-up was a thrift store steal and made her stand-out in a low-key way. Put this Fashionista in a floral crown and she would fit right in at Bonnaroo or Coachella.

Unique accessories are my favorite. There’s something exciting about wearing a piece of jewelry that you know is one-of-a-kind. This Fashionista donned a gorgeous, hand-made statement necklace by Bonnie Sutton of Zill Jewelry. Sutton is a USF student who makes and sells everything from bold amethyst bracelets to a brilliant belemnite fossil statement necklace on her Etsy page. Cool accessories like these can become a conversation piece and are fun to style because they’re different. This Fashionista also wore a gold and emerald bracelet which had a design that complemented the rest of the ’90s vibe that she had going.

Spotted: Eclectic prints and unique statement necklaces are a common element in Etro’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection. Incorporate unexpected prints and bold jewelry into your look at music festival this summer.
