Accessories Report

I am currently desperately mourning the end of spring break. I feel like the same thing happens every year, though. The idea of spring break gets hyped up for months and everyone insists that it’s going to be just like that one episode of Laguna Beach where they all go to Cabo. In reality, by the time spring break actually rolls around, all of the built-up excitement overcomes me and suddenly I’m so exhausted that I can’t fathom doing anything but napping all week. This Fashionista instantly cheered me up with her sunny demeanor, floral skirt and poppy pink sandals. I’m ready to start hyping up summer 2014.

This Fashionista was on the way to a job interview, so she kept her look modestly sweet by throwing an oversized cardigan over a lacy cream top and a floral skirt. She made it interesting by adding cool accessories such as a long, triangular necklace, a quilted cream satchel and some bright pink sandals. This Fashionista’s best accessory was her contagious smile. People feed off of positive energy, which worked in her favor because she ended up getting the job right away. Finding the right accessories to wear to an interview can be intimidating, but if you choose them wisely, they might actually help you land the position of your dreams.

Spotted: alice + olivia’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection is full to the brim with florals, bold colors and crazy fabrics. Don’t be scared to mix unexpected prints with interesting fabrics. Texture is a fun element to experiment with.
