It is almost time for spring break here at Columbia College Chicago. The weather is warming up and the sun is starting to peak out from behind the clouds. We all seem to be off in our own little world daydreaming about a warm location with our feet in the sand. I, sadly, will be going home to Connecticut where I can, in fact, go to the beach, but I better bring a jacket because the temperatures will not be as inviting. Daydreaming on the way to class for me mostly consists of constantly staring at the other students’ outfits around me. I found this week’s Fashionista walking to class.
The first thing I noticed was her black floppy hat. I love these types of hats and I give props to whoever can stylishly pull them off. I, sadly, am not a hat person, but I can admire them, right? I think that they are fun and playful. When the weather warms up, I think that a hat like this would look so cute paired with a sundress, a sweater and a pair of booties.
This Fashionista wore mostly neutral colors with a pop of color. That pop was an aqua skirt under her coat. She pairs her floppy hat with a black scarf. She has a pair of black tights and low boots with silver studs. Lastly she has a pair of simple diamond dangle earrings.
Spotted: Nicole Miller’s fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection featured wide-brim floppy hats in multiple neutral colors.
