As the snow begins to melt and the temperature finally rises above the negatives, the students of Ball State have begun shed their bulky oversized winter coats and are actually hanging out around campus without fear for slipping ice. Hopefully Indiana will welcome in spring a bit sooner! (Ha, good one!) With puddles left behind by the mass amounts of snow, students are wearing all types of boots to keep their toes warm and dry! Boots come in an endless variety of colors styles and sizes for any and every time of the year, and they are a great way to add a bit a personality to your outfit!
This week’s Fashionista took advantage of the somewhat nicer weather and brought out the shorts, but her gorgeous floral boots are what caught my attention! I’m a sucker for an awesome pair of boots, and when I saw these floral beauties on such a dreary day, I had to snap a picture! This Fashionista’s whole look is very grungy, and being quite similar to my own style, I felt that she would make a great subject for my first official post!
Keeping in mind that it is not yet spring she has thrown on a thick cardigan to keep snug and warm. Also, under her shorts she has layered a pair a tattered tights along with a basic pair of black socks. The hardware on her shorts from Forever 21 and the tights that she has distressed herself are what makes this outfit quite edgy, but the boots from Swell.com add a softer flirty tone to the ensemble.
