Accessories Report

There is something so classically American about a pair of high-waisted, distressed denim cut-offs. This especially rings true as we enter music festival season. Whether you’re lucky enough to attend Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball or any other of the plethora of outdoor music festivals, you’re bound to see at least, and I’m being modest, a thousand pairs of high-waisted, distressed cut-offs. That being said, there’s something casually sexy about them and they’re pretty versatile. They look great with anything from a loose white T-shirt with a camo jacket to a fitted American Apparel body suit and a statement necklace.

This Fashionista made cut-offs look cool by keeping the rest of her look very minimalistic. She tucked in a gorgeous, black scoop-back tank top and showed off her toned back with a sexy strappy bandeau underneath. I love the coinciding boldness and simplicity of this look and I’m all about looking and feeling confident with your body. If you’ve got it, flaunt it.

Her chocolate brown combat boots provide the perfect contrast from the black and blue color scheme that she’s working with. She adds little pops of color to the outfit by wearing a pair of reflective, aviator Ray-Bans and some simple jewelry. Her gold floral bracelet and turquoise blue cross bracelet work in conjunction with the blue and gold tones in her sunnies. I also love the delicate ring that she chose. The point of this look is to look effortlessly sexy and this Fashionista definitely accomplished that. In the words of our Queen, “I woke up like this.” Flawless.

Spotted: Speaking of classically American, I love everything about J.Crew’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection: denim shirts with jeans, jacquard drop-waist frocks, tweed trousers and bold statement coats, a.k.a. nothing that you could ever wear to an outdoor summer music festival.
