ACCESSORIES REPORT: First Week Frills!

Accessories Report
Walking on campus the first week of classes is one of my favorite times to people watch” The first week of class means making first impressions. Here at Iowa State we see everything from dresses with tights to a Northface jacket with sweats. Some dress up and some dress down, all in all most people have their new clothing on from the past holiday.

Even though it’s mid-January, it was surprisingly warm for Iowa weather when I spotted this Fashionista. I was able to pick her right away because of the cute-yet-comfy vibe she was throwing off. I have quite the eye for that type of school attire. This Fashionista braved the January weather and decided to layer up (and still look extra stylish) with an oversized collared top and a hunter green jacket. Guys and gals, take note: layering is not only essential in the winter months, but also makes you much more appealing to the eyes!

I also loved that this Fashionista threw a pop of leopard print into her attire. Take advice from her and go out on a search for bag that you can use for both class, work and weekend fun! This handbag from Macy’s is the perfect size to carry all your belongings and still give off the fashionable vibe.
To complete her outfit she added in a big, bulky scarf. This not only adds to her attire it also keeps her warm against the wind. One can never go wrong with bulky scarves in the middle of winter in Iowa. This Fashionista’s scarf has a simple design with frilly tassels. I absolutely love this Francesca’s Collections scarf. It is a perfect scarf to complete a winter outfit or an upcoming spring outfit.
Spotted: Michael Kors takes the print a bit further in resort 2013.
