There is nothing more intimidating for a college student than finals week. Long hours spent in the library stacks, late nights, too much coffee and minimal to no sleep is a little less than an ideal way to live for the last week of the semester. With all the studying and last minute cramming, dressing cute is probably the last thing on any Fashionista’s mind.
Don’t sacrifice your style just because of studying. I actually find dressing in normal clothes and being remotely put together helps me focus because I don’t feel like I am in pajamas about to go to bed. Dressing too casually and comfortable will probably end up with me asleep face down in my text book.
This Fashionista dresses warm enough for the winter weather while staying casual and comfortable enough to get through finals week. Her secret? Wearing an adorable cape style, wool peacoat, hiding her books and laptop in an oversized tote bag and keeping warm with cute, gray knit gloves.
I love this jacket. It is great for layering due to its oversized style. It also is the textbook strategy to disguise your comfortable finals week outfit underneath. If you don’t want to look like you tried too hard during finals week, a stylish jacket like this one is just the trick. It is the best of both worlds—finals week attire on the inside, while still looking fashionable and chic on the outside. Here is a similar style coat from NASTYGAL.
The way this Fashionista styled her gloves is great too. The tri-color layered look between the ivory coat, white sweater underneath and gray gloves provides just enough contrast and is effortlessly put together. To keep those hands warm during walks to class, try this inexpensive pair from ASOS.
Lastly, her tote. The not you’re average black or brown leather takes all the stylish girls on campus by surprise. I like this peachy color for winter because it isn’t too flashy, but pale enough to still fit the winter palette. Michael Kors makes a bag of a similar color so make sure you put this one on your Christmas list!
Good luck on finals everyone, and may you get good grades in style!
