For being as short as I am, I always thought the only way to make my legs appear longer was to wear heels or wedges. I figured since flats did not give me any height they would make my stubby legs look even shorter; however, it’s the complete opposite. Flats only cover the bottom and sides of your feet allowing your ankle and the top of your feet to be shown off. The trick is to not have your shoes cut off at your ankle so that your legs seem longer than they are. Now, flats aren’t to be worn only by short Fashionistas; they work for all heights. If you’re on the taller side, heels might be your worst nightmare so flats are the perfect shoe to wear for a fancy occasion. No matter your height, flats can be worn for errands, class, internship or just around the house. They are the perfect shoe to be versatile with!
Check out this Fashionista in her black Tory Burch flats! She paired them effortlessly with black leggings, a denim button-up, leopard scarf and an orange vest. Her outfit is stylish yet comfortable, and can be worn for a variety of events. Tory Burch flats are absolutely adorable and come in a ton of colors and patterns. If your outfit is more on the neutral colored side, allow your shoes to pop by wearing a colorful flat, like this inexpensive pair from Apricot Lane. If you tend to wear outfits with bright colors, do what this Fashionista did and sport a neutral colored pair from DSW.
Spring is here and I’m thrilled that I don’t have to stumble around in heels to make my legs look longer or hide them in riding boots, and I am sure that taller girls are happy they don’t have to be a giant anymore to dances or parties. We can wear a comfy and casual pair of flats and still look fashionable!
