Too many presentations, too little time? It’s that time of the semester where we may have to put aside the T-shirt and jeans and opt for more dressy clothing. Finals week is here, and some of you Fashionista/os may be giving presentations instead of taking a test. In addition, last minute interviews for summer internships may be wrapping up and you have to decide how to stay ahead of the game. I spotted a Fashionisto this week that looked quite dapper in his business casual attire. Mimic his effortless dressy ensemble and you’ll be ready to combat that presentation or interview with style and class.
My favorite part of the Fashionisto’s outfit was his striped tie and navy blue blazer. He paired his white button-down and khaki pants well together with the blazer and tie. If you look closely at the photos, you can notice the great gold button detail on the jacket. When looking for a new blazer, try a different fabric or color if you already own too many classic colors. Check out this great sport coat with impeccable detail from Ralph Lauren. As for ties, have fun with whatever colors and patterns you like the most! Just as long as all your pieces complement each other well, you’ll be on your way to acing that final presentation.
What’s a sharp suit and tie look without shoes to match? We all know our fellow Fashionistos like their sneakers and Sperry Top-Siders, but when it comes time to dress it up, it’s time to put on the blue suede shoes. Be sure to purchase a pair that you can wear for multiple occasions that has a little bit of flair. Check out this chic pair that will match the navy and khaki combo. Finally, the best addition to any outfit is a sleek watch. Pair this with any of your classic ensembles and it will give your outfit a little taste of corporate life.
