Finally, the fall weather is starting to come. Out with the shorts, and tank tops and in with the fun sweaters, jackets and boots!
One of my favorite trends I have been seeing around the FIT campus are the Dr. Marten combat boots, a classic for cooler weather. These have been a popular shoe for a long time. They are durable and are a great complement to any outfit. Lately, they have come out with some re-invented shoes that feature metallic, patent leather and velvet finishes, and even studs and plaid. These shoes will surely complement your outfit through the fall and keep your toes warm when it snows.
Our Fashionista opted for the original black boot. She paired them with some black socks just peeking out of the top of the shoe. A fun pair of overalls worked perfectly with the weather. Many people choose to pair their boots with leg warmers or with the recently popular knee-high or thigh-high socks. Whichever way you choose you will definitely rock the “docs.”
Men like to pair these trendy boots with cropped pants so that the cuff of the pants just brushes the top of the shoe. As it gets cooler and shorts start disappearing into the backs of our closets, pair your Dr. Martens with some cool skinny jeans and a fun oversized military jacket similar to the one our Fashionista is sporting on this sunny day.
Anyone can pull of the Dr. Martens by adding a fun chunky pair of socks to them, like these, and just tucking your favorite skinny jeans or leggings into them. The ever-popular shoes will continue to strive and they are the perfect casual boots for class in the lovely fall weather.
