If you’re anything like me and have a horrible fear of flying, you can rest easy knowing that you don’t have to travel the world to create a truly unique look. However, this Fashionista is sporting accessories ranging from U.S.A. to Vietnam and Thailand. I love how she took a simple cotton dress and paired it with colorful, earthy accessories to make a flawlessly eclectic look. Don’t worry, creating an outfit like this isn’t as hard as it seems!
Start off by searching for a simple cotton dress (a basic essential for every girl’s closet). Dress this up or play it casual–no matter how you wear it, you’ll always be looking chic and sophisticated. This Fashionista got hers from H&M, but you can also snag this similar dress from Gap. Pair this dress with your favorite tights and boots.
Now for the fun part, layering! When it’s chilly, add a sweater or denim shirt like this Fashionista did. I love how such a simple piece can really make an outfit stand out.
Her accessories give her outfit a fun, bold look. My eyes are drawn to her Aztec scarf from Forever 21. It looks great with the denim and gives her a pop of color. Her scarf looks great with her book bag that she picked up in Vietnam. It’s not everyday that you see a bag like this! This similar bag, also from Urban Outfitters, has a colorful and rustic look as well. Have you noticed her leg warmers? The pattern of these Ralph Lauren socks match almost perfectly with her bag. Leg warmers are an absolute must for the wintertime.
This fabulous Fashionista completes her outfit with some boho-chic jewelry. She collected her assortment of bracelets from Thailand. I love the combination of the colorful woven bracelets and the silver chain. Check out this leather cuff bracelet from Urban Outfitters. If you look carefully, you’ll also see an Aztec necklace she layered with her scarf. This similar necklace from Tobi would also look great paired with a scarf.
Spotted: Bold scarves are predicted to be a key accessory for spring 2013. Check out Marc Jacobs’s colorful statement scarf from New York Fashion Week 2012.
