In Florida, we have three different types of weather: treacherous heat, might-be-able-to-get-away-with-a-sweater chilliness and monsoon level rain. With summer rapidly approaching, we’re currently feeling some serious heat. Thankfully, this Fashionista cooled it down with some light colors and to die for accessories in this sweet, summery festival look.
Lately, I’ve been spotting so much amazing festival fashion around campus and I couldn’t resist capturing this lovely Fashionista. I was obsessed with her perfect cut-offs, which she originally bought as jeans from Goodwill and distressed herself. DIY fashion is always fun because it allows you to be hands-on and creative with your clothes. She paired her cut-offs with a baby pink fitted corset top and a stunning sleeveless crochet cardigan. She toughened up the look a bit by wearing a pair of dark tan riding boots and knee-high socks.
Her gold jewelry looked exquisite against her tan skin and pale pink top. She opted for a stunning cuff, perfect bangles, delicate necklace and an ever-practical watch. Between her crochet cardigan and spot-on jewelry choices, this Fashionista’s look is all about the little details. What’s her secret to finding unique pieces? Secondhand shops! Whether she’s hunting for vintage jewelry at Design Buy Consign’s boutique or digging around for the perfect pair of jeans at Salvation Army, she’s always bound to find something interesting to add to her collection.
Spotted: Vivienne Tam’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection is packed with intricate details. My favorite pieces are the two-toned fur scarfs, floral belts and those amazing blue tights.
