ACCESSORIES REPORT: Combating My Addiction

Accessories Report

I’m gong to be more honest than I’ve ever been before about my addiction. Frankly, it’s because I believe this is a safe and judge-free zone for all college Fashionistas and they say the first step is admitting you have a problem. Well here it goes… I, Veronica Polanco, am addicted to combat boots. There. I said it. When I put my first pair on, I never went back. I couldn’t take them off. They were comfortable, practical, girly, edgy and très chic. I wore them to class, to dinner, to New York City, to work and for a night out. I just wore them to bed once.

What is the hardest part about my addiction? They’re so accessible! Steve Madden and Tobi have the cutest pairs! You can get them at Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and H&M. They’re also versatile! You can get them for cheap or expensive, brown or black, studded or floral, shiny or non-shiny. You can wear them with super girly dresses in the spring or jeans and a cardigan in the fall. You can wear them with shorts or skirts, dark jeans, light jeans, skinny jeans! The practicality of them made them hard to take off. It’s really not my fault.

Make sure to have fun with your combat boots! There’s generally no right or wrong with how you style them! This Fashionista chose to style her boots with jeans and a pea coat. She’s able to stay warm and look stylish as Ithaca gradually becomes freezing.

I’m warning you now, after you buy your first pair, you may get addicted too. Proceed at your own risk.

Spotted: Combat boots on Rachel Roy’s runway!

Phew, that felt really good to get off my chest.
