It’s becoming more and more apparent that summer is nearly upon us. What with the ninety-plus degree weather and the sense of gleeful apathy in the air, it’s a miracle that students even bother to still get dressed in the morning. Luckily for me (and presumably you, dear reader), I was able to snap some pictures of this bold Fashionista, who was on her way to an early dinner at Midtown Crêperie.
This stylish student immediately caught my eye with her awesome hair and striped high low hem dress. A classic, streamlined color palette of black and white sets the stage for some seriously chic accessories.
Her black and white bowler bag exudes elegance and modernism, while her rhinestone-encrusted watch adds a sense of playful sensibility. This Fashionista’s nose ring is delicate enough to be cool but unobtrusive, while her earrings, a set of triple pearls along the shell of her ear, instantly reminded me of Chanel’s ladylike sophistication. And her silver heart necklace and silver chain anklet serve as subtle additions that help tie the look together.
Also, must I remind you that flat sandals are simply all the rage this season? Famously brought back by Céline’s spring 2013 fur-lined revamp, the Birkenstock-inspired sandal trend is here to stay. While this writer has had adequate time to adjust, those of you still in denial can check out the resurgence of flat, eccentric designer sandals, from a rose gold Givenchy iteration to a cushioned cross strap pair via Isabel Marant, to know that this comfortable silhouette is back for good — or for this spring and summer, at the very least.
Spotted: Luminous pearl earrings, facial piercings and hair accessories typified the offerings at Chanel spring 2012 ready-to-wear, giving each look a classy, ethereal mermaid vibe. “Till human voices wake us and we drown,” indeed.
