The LBD, white tee and blue jeans: all major staples in fashion. If you open up any Fashionista’s closet, you can bet you’d find each one of these pieces. So the question stands: How can you make the classic look your own when everyone generally has the same thing? Check out this Fashionista’s look to learn.
What first drew my eye to this Fashionista were here great bleached denim shorts. The high-waisted look has been huge on my campus for quite a while now, so it’s cool to see that she sported a more unique version of the trend. Worn with a graphic muscle tee and classic high-top Chuck Taylor All-Stars, this Fashionista’s fit definitely reflected her personal edge.
It’s even more evident in the details of her accessories that this Fashionista is a pro at adding her own twist to classic pieces. The jewelry she rocked was an eclectic mix ranging from pieces by the timeless David Yurman all the way to a vintage knuckle ring that belonged to her mom. On her arm, she sported another cult classic, at least on my campus: the Longchamp Le Pliage large tote bag. And though I pass this bag about twenty times in between each one of my classes, this Fashionista still managed to make it her own by rocking it with her laid-back style.
So there you have it. The next time you throw on your favorite skinnies or a plain and simple T-shirt, remember that the saying “keep it simple, stupid” should only be taken so far. Always be sure to add your own personal touch to your look. Everyone loves a classic, but be sure you still stand out!
