One of the hardest fashion dilemmas for a college student is expressing personal style while maintaining comfort and staying on a budget. Our days are long and are budgets are tight. This Fashionista has created the perfect combination of comfort and class, all while not over spending. She is wearing a vintage T-shirt from a thrift store, a jean skirt with leather trim from H&M and tan snake skin heels from a vintage shop.
The jean skirt is loose and comfortable, yet creates a defined waist line that pulls the outfit together. Denim is hot this fall and can make an outfit edgy, especially if it is darker denim.
Her graphic T-shirt is very casual and can be an affordable purchase. Since she got her shirt from the thrift store, the shirt is from San Francisco in 1979 and cost very little. It is a very unique addition to her wardrobe. If you cannot find that perfect shirt at a thrift store, many stores now carry vintage inspired T-shirts.
Her heels are snake skin print, which is very popular for fall. The heel isn’t very high and they are a neutral color, making them the perfect addition to a casual campus look. Kohl’s has a pair very similar that is also in a neutral.
This Fashionista paired this outfit with a great silver bracelet and oversized sunglasses. Both can be found at local thrift stores to give your outfit unique personality, or check out Target and Forever 21 for some great options as well. These pieces go great with graphic T-shirts to add personal style.
Spotted: Snake skin shoes and belts are found in Michael Kors’ spring 2014 collection. These prints make any outfit fun and sophisticated.
