First full day of sunshine after 17 days of rain and what do most people do? Run outside and soak up as many warm, summer rays as possible! Most people in this town had the same thing on their minds because this outdoor shopping and dining area was swarming with individuals who had recently gone stir-crazy from the dreary weather. On this particular night I spotted this Fashionista from afar sitting at an outdoor table. I picked her out of a crowded restaurant because of her fashionable summer hat. On such a gorgeous night it’s hard not to want to sit outside and bask in the sun, but she was smart to shield her face from the sun’s harmful rays. Her cute oversized sun hat provided her with some relief from the hot sun while keeping her style chic and cool.
After seeing this Fashionista pair such an understated summer accessory with a simple white tank and polka-dot skirt, I had an intense urge to go out and buy a floppy summery hat for myself. However, I quickly suppressed that urge when I noticed her wrist adorned with a chunky pastel bracelet. Who said statement jewelry had to be a necklace? As far as the jewelry accessories of this outfit go, I do believe this light purple bracelet stole the show. It added a pop of color to her outfit, but it didn’t overshadow her adorable summer hat. As the summer months fade away, it’s all too easy to forget about summer styles and jump ahead to the 2014 fall trends. Be that as it may, just keep this Fashionista’s outfit choices in mind for the dwindling number of the summer days. You’ll look summery and fabulous until those leaves start falling and the sun goes away.
Spotted: Floppy summer hats were extended into fall months in rag & bone’s fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection due to the unusually high number of sunny days (I think!).
