Use the summer sunshine and positive vibes to bring out the brights and try some of the trends that you’ve been dying to take for a spin. Rainbow colors are everywhere this season and it’s hard not to incorporate some of them into your daily wardrobe (even if you’re one of those all-black-everything type of people). Color-blocking, pattern-mixing the works—give it a go!
I found this Fashionista who embraced color, creating a fun summer outfit. She brought out the colored denim and florals for a day out in the city. She rocked a long-sleeve flower-printed crop top, baring a little midriff but keeping it classy. Crop tops are perfect for the summertime heat and you can either show some skin or pair them with anything high-waisted.
Her red pants really made the outfit pop and she made a great choice by pairing them with classic black peep-toe wedges. What also drew my attention was her tote bag. It’s a structured, neutral-toned bag with a twist. I love the bright colored trimming, which adds that extra edge.
I also like how she didn’t overdo it with the jewelry, keeping it simple with black bracelets, a gold ring and a silver watch. You can never go wrong with wearing a watch. And with us growing up in the digital age where we rely more on our cellphones for the time of day, wearing a watch is actually so handy. And they go with any outfit, which is a bonus. You can also wear this outfit for lots of different occasions, from a weekend brunch to a cute date night.
Spotted: Neutral bags with neon highlights were all over the rag & bone spring 2012 runway.
