The weather is a bit off and on in this part of the country and it seems that experimenting with your wardrobe is indeed top order. You can almost get away with wearing pieces from your winter and summer wardrobe all at the same time. Since fashion is about the mix and match this is the perfect time to try new things. One such way to step out of a style rut is to buy cool accessories to mix in with your old favorite wardrobe pieces. This week’s standout accessories are the military style boots and Ray-Ban shades.
Lately on this campus the guys have been all about the military trend and the camouflage prints. The big thing here is that all you really need to do is add the coolest military boots or a pair of statement sunglasses to complete the look.
This Fashionisto’s take on the look differs from that of the previous Fashionisto’s that I posted weeks before. He decided to mix up the look and go for the camo printed top instead of the pants. Wearing the trend this way also seems to make the look a bit more casual. Don’t be afraid to try a trend with a large print or pattern like this. The key is balance and keeping your accessories and pants in a neutral color helps to tone the outfit down a notch.
To recreate this look all you need to do is start with a great pair of military style boots much like these from Footlocker or this version by Polo Ralph Lauren. To find a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses similar to his try this black pair. Lastly all you need is a camouflage printed sweater and some black slouchy cut jeans.
Spotted: Rick Owens’ fall 2013 runway showcased military style boots that toughed up A-line cut, larger than life outerwear. This trend I see transitioning from spring all the way into the fall.
