There is something oddly satisfying about noticing somebody well-dressed. It feels good to admire a fellow Fashionista’s outfit and take note of what you like about it. The thing about personal style is how each individual’s take on fashion is inevitably different. You can get a ton of new ideas by observing others’ unique senses of style and applying what you like to your own. Having a personal sense of style and dressing well is a way of self expression. Marc Jacobs say it best: “To me, clothing is a form of self-expression — there are hints about who you are in what you wear.”
I spotted this Fashionista looking trendy and rocking her own unique style. She gets her outfit right with a pair of well-fitting, dark wash jeans, a simple sweater and a structured jacket. She opts for a neutral color palate and simple, but chic details, like the leather sleeves on her jacket. This outfit wouldn’t be complete without her two very cool accessories.
First, notice her eagle-inspired necklace. This atypical piece adds a touch of interest to her basic sweater. I love the carved, almost handmade look this particular necklace has to it. Topshop features an eagle-esque statement necklace that would amp up a basic white T-shirt or add an unexpected touch to a little black dress.
Last, let’s talk about her booties. I have a total crush on booties because they just look so good with all types of outfits. Here, this Fashionsta pairs them with simple, straight leg jeans, but they would look just as good with a pair of shorts or even a dress. Booties offer a lot of versatility. Jeffrey Campbell always has cool, edgy options. This Fashionista’s black pair with woven leather and small studded details really tie together her whole look.
