Ahh September! Classes have just started and campus is back to full swing. The weather might be starting to get a little chillier. We’re all pouring over the September issue of Vogue. Starbucks will soon be bringing us back our favorite Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Oh, and don’t think I was forgetting New York Fashion Week! I was simply saving the best for last. With every new season, comes new trends. This Fashionista is already on trend and the season has barely even started!
This season black is in. Yes, black will always be a staple in wardrobes, especially mine, but it’s very in this season. Especially in eye catching shoes and studded statement bags like this Fashionista is sporting. One of this season’s accessory trends I’m most excited about is the rebel trend. That’s right Fashionistas grab all the chain necklaces and studded accessories you can find and you will shine! Maybe you were lucky enough to get to the Punk exhibit at the Met this summer. Even if you didn’t you can still channel the punk spirit with your wardrobe. This Fashionista keeps it casual on her way to class with skinny jeans black cardigan and a printed scarf. She then added an oversize black studded bag to keep all her books in. Her shoes also show the studded trend but in a more subdued manor.
Curious where to find your own black bag? Check out this fabulous black studded oversize tote available at Nordstrom. Perhaps you’re searching for a backpack to tote all your homework around in? Well don’t worry Nordstrom has you covered on that front too. Here are two of my favorites: One with studs and one sans studs. If black isn’t quite your color, don’t worry! This season gray is also super popular, all 50 shades of them. Urban Outfitters has a great slouchy shoulder satchel in both gray and black. Bonus, it’s made of vegan leather!
In my opinion a girl can never have enough shoes, especially in a great basic color such as black. When running from class to class some think it’s hard to stay stylish. No you don’t need heels, but you can ditch your sneakers as well. Flats are here to save the day! You can find them in an array of styles and colors. While this Fashionista has some great gold embellished ballet flats, I’m dying over these black studded loafers. Consider them already in my shopping cart. Bamboo has a cute pair of studded black T-strap flats. I love the double strap closure.
Spotted: Various shades of gray and black were seen on the fall 2013 runway during Chanel‘s show. To mimic this look try wearing multiple items in all different shades of grey and black together.
