Backpacks are probably one of the most important accessories we own as students. Yet they are completely underrated. Some people may think that the type of backpack you have is no big deal. If you have to lug it to and from class everyday, however, it may as well be cute. Start thinking about your backpack as part of your outfit as opposed to just another school supply.
Because you wear your backpack everyday, it should be somewhat versatile. I like this Fashionista’s because it’s an appealing color, but it is solid so it will go with most of the things she wears. I have been seeing the Fjällräven Kånken Swedish backpacks all around campus lately. I love their simple design and the variety of colors they come in. My personal favorite is the pink and royal blue one.
The great thing about college is you have a little more leeway with your means of transporting your books. For one, your backpack can be smaller because most people usually have time to go back to their dorms in between classes. This Marc by Marc Jacobs one is adorable in the black and in the mint. Even more, you don’t have to use an actual backpack if you don’t want to. Tote bags serve as great substitutes for backpacks. This Madewell tote is a perfect option and it is also a good staple piece to have. For something a little more fun, check out this vibrant Tory Burch neoprene tote.
