According to the traditional calendar, winter is officially over! But on the flip side, if you happen to reside in the Midwest, it doesn’t seem like spring has sprung quite yet. Basically, if it’s warm enough to rain instead of snow, it’s considered a nice day. On one of these rare days, this week’s Fashionista brightened up the dark, cloudy streets of East Lansing with her adorable and perfectly weather-appropriate ensemble.
What caught my eye was her bright, printed umbrella. I personally love the Lilly Pulitzer prints. I also like the Coach umbrellas. If it’s going to rain, you might as well embrace it with a cute rain outfit. Under the umbrella, this Fashionista is wearing a stylish trench coat (I love Burburry coats), classic Hunter Boots (for jumping in puddles of course), and pulls it all together with an animal print tote bag. A splash of animal print adds glamour to any outfit and never goes out of style— at least in my opinion.
Just because it’s raining out doesn’t mean you have to throw on sweatpants! There are plenty of other alternatives to look presentable, even in the dreary weather. Umbrellas, bags and boots are great accessories to help put together an outfit. And also remember, April Showers Bring May Flowers!
Spotted: Hunter Boots aren’t just seen on campus, but are shown on the runway too! Hunter had their first runway show this past February. Get ideas of how to dress up your Hunter Boots from their fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
