ACCESSORIES REPORT: All Wrapped Up

Accessories Report

Hats, scarves and coats cover our bodies as we step outside to face the cold winter winds, but staying warm and toasty doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice looking our best. Dress for the temperature, but also dress for yourself and stay true to the Fashionista/o in you.

I spotted a Fashionista who knew how to protect herself from the harsh winter winds without sacrificing her sense of style. Copy this Fashionista’s effortless winter style and create your own fashionable looks for the season.

Scarves are a major fashion staple for cold seasons. They are fashionable and worn by Fashionistas/os on campuses everywhere. Use them to enhance your look or make it more laid back. Different fabrics will give your scarf a different look or feel. Make sure you wear a cotton or linen scarf for a comfortable and simple look, but use a silk or cashmere scarf for a more timeless and sophisticated look.

When it’s cold outside and you’re all bundled up, add a little sparkle to your look to brighten up your day. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces are the simplest pieces to add to your look to make it unique. This Fashionista added a simple pair of floral earrings to make her look her own. If you’re not a fan of eccentric jewelry, a simple pair of pearls or diamonds will have the same effect as a more attention-grabbing pair of earrings.

Spotted: On the runway of the Burberry Prorsum fall 2005 ready-to-wear collection, models can be seen rocking winter scarves up and down the catwalk.

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean fashion and style has to be put on the back burner. Wrap yourself up, but do it in the most fashionable way possible!
