ACCESSORIES REPORT: All Black Everything

Accessories Report

I’m not going to lie, for my last ACCESSORIES REPORT of the semester I went out last week looking to find a Fashionista dressed in spring florals, looking bright and festive to reflect the coming of summer and end of yet another great spring semester. But I could not let this Fashionista pass me by. In the wise words of Jay Z, this week’s Fashionista shows us how to successfully rock “all black everything.”

The great thing about black is it never goes out of season and it always gives an edgy allure to your ensemble. Black worn similarly to the Fashionistas/os in New York City during the winter still dresses the streets across Europe. Especially for native Catalans in Barcelona. They know that 70-degrees is freezing compared to their 110+ summers that are a couple of months around the corner.

A great marled hat is not a bad accessory to always have on you just in case it gets a little chilly walking to and from class (or you are just having a bad hair day). The American Apparel factory recycles a whopping 125,000 pounds of fabric every week to make accessories like this great recycled fisherman beanie in slate marble. Just as much as everyone loved the philanthropic backpack design from last week’s Fashionisto, you can’t pass up accessories that help you join the green effort at once.

This Fashionista is fully committed to her dark ensemble all the way down to her great leather flats. She is wearing Topshop black flats with metal detail similar to these marble geometric trim slip-ons. I personally am loving Topshop’s kappa cutout shoes in black. They are perfect for the spring and summer looks. They can also be worn for a day to evening look on the days you don’t have time to make an outfit switch.

Spotted: If you like the all edge this Fashionista puts on street style then you don’t want to miss the Phoebe English fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection. Her collection is built from materials up and each piece makes you want to question what is next. After all, a Fashionista/o mustn’t ever let style reveal all.
