I don’t think there is anything better than waking up to a light breeze and a fresh outlook on a sunny spring day. One of the best things about living in Los Angeles, is that you almost get that sort of day all year around, and styles all over campus emulate that! This Fashionista caught my eye because of her jazzy sandals. I am really lacking in summer shoes right now, so when I’m on campus I tend to stalk other peoples choices in footwear. The dark tan and crisscrossed straps had a Romanesque feel to them that I have always loved. They are simple, versatile and completely wearable with either a loose floral skirt, or with jeans and a blouse for evening wear. A simple leather sandal is a closet staple for any Fashionista, and if you buy a good quality one, they can last for a couple of seasons at least!
This Fashionista chose a delicate, yet effective color scheme for her outfit. I love how the sea foam green floral pattern in her skirt compliments her vibrantly bold turquoise backpack. Backpacks have really become a main fashion statement on college campuses because lately there are so many styles and colors to choose from! I take my own backpack with me wherever I go, and have even started using it instead of a standard shoulder bag or purse. Here, the gold zippers add some extra flair, and although the bag was at the opposite end of her outfit, it merged together with her sandals in a way that resulted in a really appealing ensemble. If this sort of outfit doesn’t inspire you to go shopping for a relaxing spring break, then I don’t know what will!
