I don’t know about you, but I never get tired of a cute scarf. Never ever. With autumn starting up, scarf season is in full swing and there are many ways to accessorize with them. This perky Fashionista caught my eye using her scarf with a trend I adore: mixing patterns.
Fashion is art, and art is often created by pairing unlike things together to make something beautiful. This floral scarf and striped shirt combine to make an amazing artistic statement. Mixed patterns say a lot about the Fashionista/o wearing them, like how he or she is confident, bold and daring.
Any type of scarf is great for an artsy ensemble because scarves truly transform an outfit. They add some dazzle and pop to any basic piece of clothing. This Fashionista definitely got it right when she decided to pair her scarf with a basic tee. If it was with anything super flashy, it may have been too much. A scarf and a tee are the perfect combo for a dressed-up casual look.
What I also loved about this Fashionista were her subtle choices for her outfit that made all the difference. Sporting some sort of up-do with a scarf is a great way to show it off (and not get hair caught in the scarf). She also added a cute wristlet in autumn colors and a staple watch to mirror the same type of relationship between the scarf and shirt: a glamorous accessory playing with the beauty of a basic, classic fashion piece.
All of the accessories of this ensemble make it amazing. It is pleasant on the eyes to move from a feminine, floral scarf to a bold, striped tee. It makes for a playful look that not only reveals a fashionable woman, but an artist as well. Patterned scarves are certainly a trend for this fall you should dive right into. Patterns in general make life ten times more fun! How boring would fashion be if it was all solid colors all the time?
One of my favorite sayings is, “Life is too short to waste time matching socks.” And indeed, sometimes life is too short to waste time matching anything. Follow this Fashionista’s lead and be adventurous with your patterns this season.
