Accessories Report

Throughout fashion history, black has been associated with classic and timeless pieces. The dark hue is an irreplaceable color that can be worn by any body shape, making it essential in all wardrobes. This season, just as any other, black is a great go-to color. That being said, black is looking even better when paired with gold this season.

While you cannot go wrong with an entirely black ensemble, the right accessories can completely elevate your look. This Fashionista looked extremely stylish in a black, vegan leather jacket (detailed in gold no less) and studded black boots. However, the real stand out element in this Fashionista’s outfit was her star-spangled tights, neutral scarf and spiky, gold bracelet. Even though her entire ensemble is black, the smaller details add interest and purpose to the overall look.

Gold has been and always will be in style, but metallic gold is so much better. Metallic anything is fair game this season, but what about punk and metallic? Well, that’s a completely different story. A blend of the two not only updates an older trend, but it inspires creativity within your outfit. Major style points are in store for this Fashionista. Black and metallic hues defined some of this season’s hottest collections. For example, Balmain’s retro inspired show featured black and a variety of metallics.

Since black and gold are a trending color palette this season, get inspired by the classics and sport a shiny statement accessory for your holiday parties.

Spotted: Diane Von Furstenberg showcased a punk accessory in the most timeless way and Rachel Roy demonstrated her expertise in the art of bracelet stacking.
